Midterms

Hi everyone,I took the first half of my western civ. midterm yesterday (since it's after 12 now). I think I did alright, but I still have the essay half to go on Friday. I'm sorry for not taking anyone's calls or being online too much, but I really need to study for my midterms. Next week is going to be insane. I've got 3 midterms on my plate, 2 are religion, and the other is for ethics. And I am studying like "woah". I'm a bit worried about all of these midterms. I just hope I don't get my stuff for my 2 religion classes mixed up. It would be bad to start talking about Hinduism or Buddhism in my New Testament class. *grins*Well, I'm off to bed, 'cause staying up 'til 2AM studying and getting woken up at 6AM by the fire alarm is not fun. At least we passed it and we won't have another one. It also doesn't help that I overslept and missed Eastern Religious Traditions. Darn it. Oh well.

I'm sorry

*sigh* It seems that everytime I try to do something for myself, karma comes and bites me in the butt. I was spending time with some other friends, and because of that, I hurt the friends that I consider my family. I do have to say I'm sorry to a few people. There's alot that I would do for you, but I guess you don't really know that, because I don't always show it. I understand all of your anger, but I hope that you will understand.Musicsoul- I'm sorry, but I honestly never heard you mention a time. My cell phone lost its signal for a short time during our conversation, and I think that is when you mentioned a time. I apoligize for that. I just wish that you had called me later that night while I was out. I would have come if you had called me. knoaxx_reborn- I'm sorry about not taking you back to UNCG. I gave C. my word that I would, and I would have. I am sorry for all of the confusion.shandrella- I'm sorry that I was not there to do what I promised. I just wish you had heard my side of the story before getting so upset. But yes, your anger is justified.I'm upset that such a simple miscommunication could cause all of this, but so be it, because it is done.

More Musings

As we all know, there are many religious paths out there. But all of them have some very similar questions and thoughts. What am I? Where did I come from? What is the higher being/creator/God/Goddess? We can't really wrap our brains around that concept. What is the afterlife, heaven, summerland, etc? Or are we reincarnated, forced to remain in samsara? Ask a Wiccan, Pagan, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, Shinto, Taoist, etc. and you will get infinite answers as to what awaits us after we die. What is the purpose of karma? To keep you inline or it will bite you in the ass. What about our dharma (duty)? We all have our duties. I've found that we have more in common with Christianity and Hinduism than Wiccans would like to think. Kind of sad when we find more differences between our different paths, when they all have such similar goals and questions they want answered. And I've found becoming a religion major has raised more questions than it has answered. Very frustrating. I describe myself as a spiritual person, but I have no set path. Therefore I am an eclectic. I respect them all. They all have important values and things to teach us.
